SURFACE Studios began as a hobby – a one-person venture in the basement of the owner’s home, providing an opportunity to pursue a passion for creative, custom finishings. Within nine months, the quality of work generated a volume of business which demanded a much larger work space, more manpower and a full-time work week to fulfill this “hobby”.

Within less than a year, dreams became reality and this hobby became a full-time profession. Now with several employees and 25,000 square feet of work space, SURFACE Studios is providing concrete counter tops, fireplace surrounds, islands, and walls with a variety of special features, including fiber optic lighting, to many top builders, architects and interior designers. SURFACE Studios also provides acid staining, tinted sealers, underlayments, and self-leveling concrete flooring.

Today, a designated CHENG Center of Excellence and the Midwest Training Center for CHENG, SURFACE Studios continues to instill passion into every creation it fabricates.
